Jacquard Skirt, Wool Dress
Jacquard long skirt...three seams...two front down leg, one center back. Fixed waist, pull on, hook&eye needed for pulling in waistband, but glad I could fit it without side seams. All by eye, though I can't say I measured twice and cut once. Seam ripper was in my hand quite a bit..thank goodness the fabric held its own.
Bottom pic is very hard to tell...black wool, not visible here but worn with sheerish tee with a little sparkle/surface interest under...pseudo Prada...slim skirt, less slim bodice with dolman short sleeve, scoop neck. Look and cut method. Wool make sewing easy. I was going to play with silver thread for simple embroidery design a la Dries, but decided for now to leave solid.

Plexiglass with Jewels Necklace
Madame is apparently jamming to make October post goal, so cheating a bit here because it isn't quite finished. Need to drill two holes on ends for ribbon to make it necklace. Oh, yes, and correct that cut on the right...slim it down. Plexi glass, jewelers saw, goofy jewels.

More Halloween Stuff
My favorite are the eyeballs. 36+ cupcakes later + one pumpkin shaped cake for school event.
Laughed at the sign below...was on little used road that served as starting point for a fright night walk....old cemetery for "indigents" and served by the county hospital/"sanitarium" and prisoners from1880's-1950s....

Halloween Scary Food
Pumpkin bread turned gravesite....with some extra sharp punctuation. The above was original idea. The below was Pinterest inspired. Made me think of how the web can make you lazy in self creation...though a wonderful source of information. What kind of sinapses are not getting enough exercise because the fingers are clicking instead of brain thinking about something 20+ minutes longer? Things one contemplates while skewering rosemary into green olives.

California Route
Part of a project in the works...so long since last blog post. Solvy to get the layout properly spaced, sewing machine to stitch it, including stars to mark start and goal point thus far. More later. Imaging entire map this way with 3D mountains.....though maybe Kansas rather than Switzerland, as that will be some fancy engineering to get all those peaks. Yes, stuffing, but making the fabric peak for a range.....gad.
